The importance of industry-specific solutions comes from a very basic foundation of thought: every type of business is unique and therefore needs to be catered to accordingly. The same philosophy may not be applicable for automotive businesses and integrated steel plants, because both require entirely different approaches to business planning. The automotive industry is based on the assembling of equipment and parts—discrete manufacturing, whereas the integrated steel plant is a continuous manufacturing unit. Therefore, each business's functionalities are different in areas such as production and inventory management.
Next decade is reserved for the utility.. Utility comprises of Water, waste water, Gas and electricity. Even we concentrate at the Indian case , the volume and opportunity is enormous. Currently their are approximately 20 crores of meters only for electricity distribution supplying to domestic , small power, medium power , railways traction and large supply categories of the customer. Future is linking these meters to data network. That included web, mobile etc. Smart grid is the future. Work is enormous that simply means challenges and opportunities for the business is also huge. Government of India had launched APDRP project during 10th five year project to improve the efficiency in the electricity network and reduce the loss. Same project with name of R_APDRP amounting in 50000 crores is approved during eleven five year plan (2007-2012).
All twenty eight state and seven union territory are implementing this R-APDRP project in their electricity distribution system. SAP ISU and Oracle application are most preferred utility solution is being implemented. 28 states, 7 UT most of them going for SAP ISU solution , one can imagine the business in Utility. Moreover once the solution is implemented , support will be another huge task. Hence we are seating on the tip of the iceberg for the ISU business.
RMK Technology will be th place where even a novice can learn Implementing SAP ISU from the freedom of their home. The concept is organized in sequential way with adequate explanation.
